FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Maquillage [pronounced ma-kee-yazh] means Makeup. It originates from Latin and it is still used in several Latin-based languages like French, Spanish, German etc. I use both terms interchangeably.

What do you offer in your Bridal Makeup Service?
I offer a variety of options that suit the Bride, her maids and the mums. I would usually run the Bride through a free consultation to get clear understanding of the Bride’s requirements. The may be followed by a Preview (or Trial) session before the big day.

Generally, I use top-of-the-range hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic products and apply best makeup practices in the beauty industry.

Do you offer practical classes about makeup?
I offer online and one-on-one training classes. The former is #themakeupbootcamp, while the latter is called DIY Maquillage. #themakeupbootcamp is spread over a period of 30 days during which the student is allowed to learn at their own pace and live support sessions are made available. On the other hand, the DIY Maquillage session is a 6-day intensive course with emphasis on both theory and practice.

Could you recommend makeup products to buy?
I advise clients to spend good money on foundation and a valuable set of brushes. Primers have their place depending on the type of artist you are. For instance, people who do their own makeup may buy one, however, if you are a professional, you may want to skip this. Other makeup products like mascara, eyelash primer, lipstick, lip liner, blush and bronzers don’t have to be expensive. You will find a variety of these at drugstores. However, from experience a number of expensiveproducts stay longer and as a professional, it may be better to keep a stock of highend products.
